Moved

Well, we made it into our new house. Other than the fact that our power at our old place got turned off two days early in the middle of the summer heat and we weren't ready to be out at all AND I had to go to work on Saturday morning in the middle of our move, the move went pretty smoothly. However, it was not fun AT ALL to pack and clean the old place with no AC and no fans. I was sweating buckets and if I was sweating buckets, you can only imagine what K looked like! We spent the first 2 nights in our new place on air mattresses and living out of suitcases since we didn't have any of our furniture yet, but it all worked out.

We've been working on the house for the last month, replacing some flooring and painting and we are glad that it is done (mostly, we still have some quarter rounds, transition strips and touch up paint to do). Here are some before and after pictures.

...and after. Both rooms I painted unfortunately turned out much more purple than I'd expected. The dining room was supposed to be a deep blue and the breakfast nook a gray with a hint of purple. Oh well, good thing I like purple.

The backyard is awesome, we love it. Big C can't wait to get Cougar back!

Our new neighborhood is much nicer and our neighbors are great. Our next door neighbor even mowed our lawn for us as a welcome gift after they brought us fresh baked chocolate chip cookies! The people next to them have kids the exact ages of our kids so we are excited for that. We are happy to be in something bigger and the kids seem to really like it.
